Mechanism of Action (MOA): Pantocid (Pantoprazole) suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly binding to the proton pump (H⁺/K⁺ ATPase) in the stomach lining, thereby reducing acid production.
Dosage and Administration: Take one 40 mg tablet orally once daily, 30–60 minutes before a meal, preferably breakfast. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew, crush, or break it.
Side Effects: Common side effects may include headache, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, dizziness, and abdominal pain.
Drug Interactions: Pantocid may interact with medications such as ketoconazole, methotrexate, warfarin, nelfinavir, and digoxin. Inform your doctor about all medications and supplements you are taking.
