Composition:
Each 5ml of Vasodryl EXP contains:
- Chlorpheniramine Maleate: 2 mg
- Ammonium Chloride: 135 mg
- Sodium Citrate: 55 mg
Menthol: 1 mg
Mechanism of Action:
- Chlorpheniramine Maleate: An antihistamine that blocks H1 receptors, reducing allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes.
- Ammonium Chloride: Acts as an expectorant by irritating the gastric mucosa, leading to reflex stimulation of respiratory tract secretions, which helps in loosening and expelling mucus.
- Sodium Citrate: Serves as a mucolytic agent, thinning mucus to facilitate easier expectoration.

Dosage and Administration:
- Adults: 1-2 teaspoonfuls (5-10 ml) three to four times daily.
Children: ½ -1 teaspoonful (2.5-5 ml) three to four times daily.
Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation.
Precautions:
- Use with caution in patients with conditions such as glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, or chronic respiratory diseases like asthma or COPD.
