Codopar

• Codopar is a combination medication containing Paracetamol (500 mg) and Codeine Phosphate (10 mg) per tablet.
• It is primarily used for the short-term treatment of acute, moderate to severe pain when other pain relievers have not been effective.

Uses:

• Relief of acute, strong pain unresponsive to other analgesics.

Dosage:

• Adults and children over 12 years: One tablet every six hours as needed, not exceeding four tablets in 24 hours.
• Not recommended for children under 12 years due to the risk of opioid toxicity.

Side Effects:

• Common: Drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, nausea, vomiting.
• Serious: Respiratory depression, severe allergic reactions.

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol, as it may increase the risk of liver damage and enhance drowsiness.
• Inform your doctor of any existing medical conditions, especially liver or kidney disease, respiratory disorders, or history of substance abuse.
